Google Pixel 5 Spotted with Snapdragon 765G and 8GB RAM on AI Benchmark

When Google launched thePixel 4alast week, the company teased theupcoming Pixel 5and Pixel 4a (5G). While Google didn’t officially reveal much about the Pixel 5, the device just gotspotted on AI Benchmark with a Snapdragon 765G chipset.

This is not the first time we’re hearing about the presence of a Snapdragon 7xx series chip on the Pixel 5. Back in March, South Korean blog Navar had reported theexistence of Snapdragon 765Gon the Pixel 5.

According to the AI Benchmark listing, thehandset will feature 8GB of RAM. To put that in perspective, thePixel 4packs 6GB of RAM, and the same is the case with Pixel 4a. The listing also reveals that the Pixel 5 will launch withAndroid 11out of the box, which doesn’t really come as a surprise since Android 11’s launch is right around the corner.

Previous leaks hint thatGoogle will drop its fancy Motion Sensefeature powered by theSoli radar chipon the Pixel 5. You might recall that the presence of Soli chip was whyPixel 4 wasn’t launched in India.

Pixel 4’s failure had led Marc Levoy – the person behind Google Camera’s computational photography toquit the company. Levoylater joined Adobeand is now working on a ‘universal camera app’.

Google has officially confirmed that Pixel 5 will be available in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia. Although Pixel 4a (non-4G variant) will arrive in India this October, the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 will not make its way to the country.
