Apart from “Reels” and “Vanish Mode“, the feature that has fascinated me the most in this social networking app is the “Guides”. What makes it so interesting is the ability to let you recommend posts, places, and even products that you think your followers would love to check out. First things first, “Guides” is an all-new feature that has just been rolled out. So, make sure your device is fully onboard with it. If you haven’t yet update Instagram on your device, be sure to do it beforehand.

Now, tap on theProfile tabat the bottom and then hit the“+” buttonat the upper right corner of the screen.
Next, selectGuidesin the menu that pops up.
Next up, you havethree optionsto choose from:

Select the preferred option depending on your needs. In this test, I’m going to choose Products.

After that, select thedesired brand and then choose the product you wish to recommend.
Up next, you need towrite a suitable title and add a caption. Then, tap onNextat the top right corner of the screen.
Finally, tap on theShare buttonto share the guide to your profile. If you don’t want to share it now, you can also save it as a draft.

You can find Guides in aseparate new tabon your profile. The Guides icon looks like abookletthat appears between the photo grid icon and the tagged photos icon. Besides, you can also explore Guides in theExploretab. What’s more, you will be able to share them in your stories and in direct messages.
