As per recent reports, the sensitive information of over 3.5 million Mobikwik users has been leaked on the dark web. It is being called the“largest KYC data leak in history”by security researchers.

The data breach was discovered by a security researcher named Rajshekhar Rajaharia back in February. However, Mobikwik was quick to deny the fact by Rajshekhar at the time.

“11 Crore Indian Cardholder’s Cards Data Including personal details & KYC soft copy (PAN, Aadhar, etc) allegedly leaked from a company’s Server in India. 6 TB KYC Data and 350GB compressed MySQL dump,”Rajaharia had said earlier.

The leaker has reportedly created a dark web portal thatcontains 8.2TB worth of user data. Using this portal, one can gather information about specific Mobikwik users by their phone numbers or email addresses. Moreover, the leaked data includes other sensitive information such as Aadhar Card data, IP addresses, passwords, GPS locations, and many other details.
