Nokia X10 and X20 with Snapdragon 480 5G SoC Launched; Along with 4 More Budget Phones

While other phone makers arefighting it outin the flagshipand mid-range segments with theirlatest 5G smartphones, HMD Global has been pretty silent until today. The Finnish giant, as promised, has finally revamped its naming scheme and launchedsix new smartphonestoday. It includes two entry-level C-series, two budget-centric G-series, and two affordable 5G-enabled X-series phones.

So, without further ado, let’s check out the specifications and features of these new Nokia smartphones:

Nokia X10, Nokia X20 Specifications

Starting off with the Nokia X10 and X20, both of these phones boast the same design and feature set with minor differences. Theyinclude a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ LCD displaywith a 20:9 aspect ratio, 2400 x 1080-pixel resolution, and up to 450 nits of brightness. There’s also a centered punch-hole cutout on the front.

Both the Nokia X10 and Nokia X20 are powered by the QualcommSnapdragon 480 5G chipset. While the X10 comes in three configurations – 4GB+128GB, 6GB+64GB, and 6GB+128GB, Nokia X20 has two configurations – 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. The storage is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. The smartphones run stock Android 11 with a promise of up to 3 years of updates.

As for the cameras, both the Nokia X10 and X20 are backed by Zeiss Optics. But the X10 includes a 48MP primary sensor while the X20 includes a 64MP primary sensor. The quad-camera setup also includes a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera on both phones. You will find an 8MP selfie camera on the X10 while the X20 will offer you a 32MP selfie sensor.

Nokia X10 will be available in two colorways, namely Forest and Snow. On the other hand, Nokia X20 will come in Midnight Sun and Nordic Blue color variants.

Nokia X10 and X20 are the top-end smartphones unveiled at the event today. The new Nokia G-series is a budget lineup with a focus on battery life.

The smartphones also feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 1600 X 720-pixel resolution. There’s an 8MP punch-hole selfie camera at the top and a thick chin with the Nokia branding at the bottom. This is where the similarities between Nokia G10 and G20 end.

Under the hood, the Nokia G10 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 while the G20 is powered by the Helio G35 chipset. The former has up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage while the latter has 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Both the phones run stock Android 11 out-of-the-box. HMD Global promises two years of software updates.

As for the optics, Nokia G20’s quad-camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The G10, on the other hand, has a triple camera setup. It includes a 13MP primary camera and two 2MP sensors. The lack of an ultra-wide lens is disappointing.

Nokia G10 will be available in two colorways, namely Night and Dusk. On the other hand, Nokia G20 will come in Night and Glacier color variants.

Last but not least, we have the entry-level Android Go-powered Nokia C-series from HMD Global. Both the Nokia C10 and C20 have polycarbonate back panels and house a modest3,000mAh battery, which is removable. The devices support 5W charging via the micro-USB port at the bottom.

These phones feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a huge chin at the bottom and a 5MP selfie camera in a waterdrop notch at the top. You also have a selfie flash baked into the top bezel. The Nokia C10 and C20 have a single 5MP rear camera.

Under the hood, the Nokia C10 is powered by a quad-core Unisoc SC7331e chipset while C20 is backed by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863a chipset. The phones also have up to 2GB RAM and up to 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). The Nokia C10 and C20 also runAndroid 11 (Go Edition)with a promise of 2 years of updates.

Nokia C10 will be available in two colorways, namely Light Purple and Grey. On the other hand, Nokia C20 will come in Dark Blue and Sand color variants.

The Nokia C10 is priced starting at €75 (~Rs. 6,650) while the C20 is priced starting at €89 (~Rs. 7,900). These entry-level devices will start shipping sometime in June later this year.

As for the Nokia G10 and G20, they are priced starting at €139 (~Rs. 12,350) and €159 (~Rs. 14,110) respectively. Both of these devices will go on sale sometime in late April.

The premium Nokia X10 and X20 are priced starting at €309 (~Rs. 27,430) and €349 (~Rs. 30,975) respectively. Both of these devices will go on sale starting in May. HMD Global hasn’t announced when the Nokia C-series, G-series, and X-series will launch in India.
