Afterlaunching the Realme 8 seriesin India recently,Realmehas launched its latest 5G-enabled camera-centric flagship, the Realme GT Neo, in China today. This is the second smartphone under the GT-series, the first one beingthe Realme GT 5Gwhich launched in China earlier this month.
So, before we talk about the price and availability details, here’s a quick rundown of the specs and features of the new Realme GT Neo.
Realme GT Neo: Key Specs and Features
The Realme GT Neo comes with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a120Hz refresh rateand 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display has 2400 × 1080-pixel resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support, and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. There’s a 16MP punch-hole selfie snapper on the front as well.
Speaking of the cameras, the GT Neo is being marketed as a camera-focused device rather than a gaming or performance-centric smartphone. As a result, the device boasts a triple-camera setup with aprimary 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor. There is also an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor at the back. Surprisingly, the company is still rocking a triple-camera module even for its flagship devices while its competitors are offering quad-camera setups.
Under the hood, the Realme GT Neo packsthe octa-core Dimensity 1200 SoC, which isMediaTek’s first 6nm chipset. It comes in three RAM+storage configurations with the top model packing 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
To power the internals, the device packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging. Further, it comes with 5G connectivity, dual SIM support, and it uses the GT mode and VC Cooling technology to battle thermal issues.
It comes in three color options – Final Fantasy, Geek Silver, and Hacker Black. It runs the newRealme UI 2.0 skinbased on Android 11 out-of-the-box.
Coming to the price and availability, the base variant of Realme GT Neo with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage comes with a price tag of CNY 1,799 (~Rs. 20,099). The higher-end 8GB+ 128GB and 12GB+256GB variants are priced at CNY 1,999 (~Rs 22,299) and CNY 2,299 (~Rs 25,699) respectively.
The device will be available to buy onRealme’s official websitein China starting from April 8.
